Penilane t-shirt
I have created some images for a CD cover for the local group Penilane. The title of their new album is 'WEAR IT WELL" - the other ideas can be seen at the links below,what do you think?
which cover do you prefer and why?
Some are still in very rough format, i merely wanted to give the
general idea of what i was after.
Penilane is a 4-piece hailing from Windhoek, Namibia. The band has been churning out its own brand of music since 2004 – a style they like to refer to as Progressive Sweaty Nuts Rock.
At the start of 2012, the guys spent 7 weeks in studio alongside 2011 Grammy winning recording engineer for best Rock/Gospel Album, Alan Sanderson, recording their long anticipated debut album, which is still due to be released.
Their music video for the track “Seven Seconds” has been airing on DSTV's MK324 since the 29th of December 2010.
The band's second EP, Ripple Effect, was mixed by Danny Conway at Suite Studios in Dublin, under supervision of Marc Carolan, FOH Engineer for Muse, The Cure and Snow Patrol. 'Ripple Effect' was released on Jan 1, 2010.
Influences range from Muse, Bruce Springsteen, Biffy Clyro, Radiohead, Sound Garden and Die Toten Hosen.

O.K you asked for opinions .............I think that you have to look at this a little differently than just what is the best image . I gave the group a quick listen to hear their style because it does "in my mind" have to represent the sound to some degree . For pure creativity I'd might go with the sexy guitar and if the CD's will be sold on shelves in stores that still could be an option . But it's my feeling that your "product" here is Penilane . With their longevity and reputation , their name is what should stand out on the cover . I have always had success with the K.I.S.S method , "Keep It Simple Stupid" . On this one I would stretch the red "Penilane" larger to the shoulders , crossing the triangle and shrink the title just a bit . I think you should be proud in representing these concepts , see what the guys think . A job well done ! Be well my Namibian friend
