This morning, Lucas entered a new... phase, for lack of a better word. It's one that I'm told all children go through at one point or another, but since he is the most chill baby ever, I would smirk and nod and think ha, not mine.

Then, today. It happened. He only wants momma. And not only does he only want momma, if I'm not in his direct line of sight, his little world is ending. And as soon as I am back, he is trying to claw his way up my legs and into my arms to hold me tight (okay, that part doesn't entirely suck, obviously).

We have errands to run tonight, so I'm pretending that the sparkling pink lemonade that I bought yesterday is really the glass of Cupcake Red Velvet that I wish it were.

Tommy and my parents spent the afternoon doing some work at the new house, so my sister and I made our way to Target and then Home Goods.

I had been eyeing a similar lamp at west elm for a while, but couldn't swallow the $100 price tag. But this bad boy? $34. Much easier on the credit card ;)

For my birthday in 2010, Tommy got me a Nook and it's pretty much been my go to for reading since then. It's light weight, can hold a bazillion books and fits easily in my purse.

But then... My sister got Ruthless out of the library and then offered it to me to read. I forgot how much I enjoy and miss real, paper books. Even if they are a pain and I lose my spot a dozen times when the book accidentally gets closed.

This would be baby led weaning at it's finest. For dinner, Lucas had white fish with dill, along with leftover cheesy rice and steamed broccoli. Everything was in finger sized pieces and he fed himself. And, I promise, about 85% of it ended up in his tummy. lol

After spending nearly a week with grandma, off and on, Lucas and I decided to spend today at home and try to get back on something that looks like our normal routine. It hasn't been pretty, to say the least. There have been tears, from both of us.

We eventually made our way to lunch with his daddy and then to the grocery store. By the time we were done with both, Lucas was ready for dinner. He had chicken nuggets, orzo noodles and fresh mixed fruit (not pictured). He ate most of his plate and only fed a fraction of it to the dogs. Progress, y'all, progress.
