Baby Mezzanine Quilt

This is a quilt for a dear friend's baby girl. I finished it just today and have to give it away tonight at the party. The weather outside is dreary, so these pics will have to do.

I LOVE this quilt!! I used Patty Young's Mezzanine line. I bought 17 fat quarters (the entire line, I think) and used exactly half of the fabric. I was very careful to keep the other half for another project.

It measures appx. 48" square. The tutorial I used is linked below - thanks, Stephanie, for sharing this fabulousness with us!! It is very well-written and easy to follow. I would still consider myself to be a quilting novice, so please don't be intimidated by the pattern!! If you're thinking of trying one like this, DO IT!!! You won't be sorry!!

Ok. I can't seem to make the link to the tutorial work, so please visit makeitawonderfullife.blogspot.com. You'll find Parts 1 and 2 of the "Simple Circle Quilt Tutorial" on the nav bar on the left of the page.

(See my photostream for pics of the back and the label.)

Thanks for all of the positive comments. This group is so encouraging!!

Ann - Yes, I was a bit sad to give it away so quickly. But she loves it!! Also, I have enough fabric left over to do another one ... someday :)

Sewanyhow - Yes, this line looks fabulous all done up. There were a few fabrics in the line that I wouldn't have chosen, but I decided to take the risk - and I'm glad I did!!
