– Thanks, Gary. Having that come from you is a great compliment. I almost didn’t take any pictures after I arrived here because of all of the harsh shadowing. I was so caught-up in the fact that it was a beautiful day not once as I was driving to this place did it occur to me it was not a good day for shooting waterfalls. But I rolled the dice anyway and after I uploaded my pictures onto my computer they didn’t look half bad. So here’s the first one. Glad you liked it.
– Lynn, you are so nice. I don’t know if I proved anyone wrong on this. Once I arrived and saw all of those shadows I was so angry with myself for even making the long trip because I knew better concerning the sunlight and the whole shadowing issue. But as I told Gary the beautiful weather gave me temporary insanity, I guess. Thanks for commenting.
- If “Luckiamute Falls” (pronounced Luck-ee-mute) made you giggle the name of the river is “Little Luckiamute”. Almost sounds like I need to be-a-pickin’ ma banjo.
– Thank you, Marcellina. I wish I were making ANY money from my photos. Wouldn’t that be nice!! But HEY! I did receive a nice fortune from a fortune cookie last week. It said I was “up for promotion”. I guess we’ll see. =)
Can you believe I just faved a long exposure waterfall picture? Because I love the POV, the natural light and colors, the mood - and because you're one of the intrepid photographers in my book :)
I'm definitely going to get my tripod to a rapids (whenever they thaw out) and try this. This is really great. The water coming off those rocks looks like a wedding veil. Really nice, Kurt!

Looks like the ideal place for hot summer days.
It`s nice how the sun shines on the trees.
You perfectly captured this forest atmosphere!
