Driftwood

Driftwood

It's probably wrong of me to really like this one, especially given that this roll contained many more "oh arr - look at that, it's all shiny and stuff" photos. Perhaps it's because I see it alongside the other images in this series, perhaps it's because it's one of those instances where you tease something you can bear to look at out of surroundings where you wouldn't have thought it possible in the past. Maybe it's because it sums up what a damp March weekday looks like in Birstall's premier wildfowl attraction.

Recesky DIY TLR camera. Double exposure on ISO 400 film that expired in 2007.
One exposure out of focus, one in focus (although the term "in focus" doesn't really apply when using this camera)

Sleet and snow on Stanage Edge

Sleet and snow on Stanage Edge

More messed up nonsense, seen through the eyes of sexy Red Olga. It was raining when we started the walk but it didn't take long for the snow to settle once it had started. I had a bag full of cameras with me but didn't want to risk any electronics in this foul weather - the only effect the conditions had on this camera was that the stickers have started to wear off a bit.

Hommage Au Brydon

Hommage Au Brydon

I put off buying one of these flaming cameras for so long because I think of this Peak District + Holga as being Al's own look, but I can't always rely on the little scamp being there to take pictures of our days out so I had to buy one myself.
