Mabry Mill HDR
This is my first "real" HDR attempt. I have used in-camera HDR before, but the results are limited. I tried it for this Mabry Mill shot, using Nik's HDR Efex Pro to combine the exposures. I like the results here. Hope you do, too!
The mill is situated where there is not a lot of light, so I think it did a nice job of bringing out the shadows. I don't believe this looks too "cooked".
This is probably the last Mill shot I'll post. Many of you are probably relieved! LOL!

I love the "Nik Tools", coupled with Lightroom, it's a seamless workflow. Photomatix is still the
'Big-dog', and probably always will be. However, Photomatix won't migrate as an "Edit-in" feature with LR3, which is no big deal... but in a way it is. To tell the truth, I have Photomatix, but it's in 32bit, and it won't work properly on my 64bit computer. I have the upgrade, but either it's not working right or I'm not working right (probably the latter). So that's why I bought Nik Software (complete collect), and I've been happy ever since. The bad news about NIk is, they have little in the way of literature for purchase, instead, they rely on tutorials. The more I work with Nik, the more I learn... great way to spend my free time in between fly fishing. Well have fun, hope you enjoy this product as much as I do. Excellent HDR image, Lori : )

Wonderful work! The still water is amazing. It looks like such a calm place to contemplate, meditate, have a picnic, etc.

I am very suspicious of HDR. (My new camera will do in-camera HDR.)
Afraid to overdo it.
You did not. Looks great.

Superb first time effort Lori - and to think that you can only improve - frightening.

Perfect Lori ... Just enough tonal contrast to do the trick. What I like about this is the "glass" look of the water, simply stunning even with HDR treatments. I think Nik is an UNDER-RATED program as I almost use it exclusively. Your use of their HDR software is rather impressive and I wouldn't worry about continued postings of this wonderful place as you certainly have been doing it justice! ..

Excellent job on this HDR Lori, looks very natural and not the slightest bit "over-cooked". This is what HDR's should be like!
