      Nice lighting and great focus (DOF). Not easy to get the tip of the nose and the eyes in focus for this critter.

      that, decidedly, works. I have also bounced the light off "cage" walls and/or frame/offset around the glass (unless greeeeen as you have here), for an even more natural look.. when it works.. sometimes it's just not enough.. then only direct and diffused works well like this.
      It's also great that the added crispness of strobe light offsets the usually grunginess introduced by the fingerprint-smudged glass common to these exhibits.
