Owl

While on a hike in the rain and fog I caught this owl perched on a limb and lighting allowed only a silhouette of this owl, however I did like the mood it set. it flew away as i tried to get out another lens.

Fog on top of mountain

While in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park walking along a trail in a old-growth forest the cold rain and fog set in and I caught this picture of the sun lighting a part of the trail in front of me.

Laurel Falls

These are the Laurel Falls in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in the Tennessee portion of the park. It had been raining for a couple days and the falls were pretty full. Early that morning it was raining and I was the only one at the Falls for several hours, affording me the opportunity for shots without the usual crowds of people.
