Ripple quilt top

My effort for the MQG Kaufman Solids Challenge.

How should I quilt this? The shapes remind me of drops hitting a pond, so I'm thinking of doing Katie's drop pattern.

Oh blimey Dan, when I saw this being made I wasn't so sure but now I look at this and it's blinking genius. Plus quilts with legs are always my favourite photos plus do I see some garden design in here?! This is stunning. I"m annoyed I didn't make it and that doesn't happen so often.

Lynne is funny! I like this quilt, and I think the drops pattern would be incredible, can't wait to see this finished!

Glorious piecing and design, Dan. I thought of ripples - concentric circles, overlapping slightly. I like the drops pattern too though. Look forward to seeing it finished.

Oh, I love this! (there's a vague echo of the old CBC logo which makes me love it even more.)

Thanks Lynne. There was a long period where I wasn't so sure either
      Thank you!
I like the concentric circles idea. It would be especially nice done by hand, but that's such a lot of effort!

Makes me think of the CBC. Beautiful.

I can't think of anything more elegant than what you're already planning! This is the coolest thing I've ever seen done with a drunkard's path!

Yep, ditto the love. This is really cool. It's one of those "why didn't I think of that" quilts. I love it.

Completely agree about your choice of raindrops. I also agree about the CBC logo!

very nice! or could you do radiating circles for each 'drop' area?

ETA: oh i see now someone else mentioned concentric circles. :)

This quilt is awesome! Very imaginative way of arranging the quarter circle pattern--it brings a whole new spin on it! Top notch!

I agree with the concentric circles idea, maybe with a background of the drops. I see you've already started, so I can't wait to see the final quilting! Beautiful quilt!
