Torah 6

    Newer Older

This scroll of the Torah, now found at the Masonic Village, in Elizabethtown, PA, USA, was rescued from a burning synagogue during the oppression of the Jews in Nazi Germany. I understand it to have been a near victim of the German's brutal pogrom, the Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass.

It's so detailed. I can almost smell it. That's not necessarily a good thing.
But this is a great addition to the Jewcy group.

:-). The placard said it had some burn damage. So it probably smells a bit like ash. Glad you like it!
