Feeling Blue
I just can't think of any good "blue" puns...
I took a million shots of this, trying to get it to match how I wanted it to look. This was the closest. It reminds me of a cross between a Japanese garden and some kind of sci fi set.
But that's probably just me.
Unretouched.
BETTER LARGE (and uncluttered).

Your work paid off. Beautiful serene scene. I like the frosted glass effect in the water.

another fave. love the contrast of water colour either side of the walkway.

Love this shot, I like the different tone of colour of the water on the different sides of the walkway. The walkway illuminated lights is awesome. My favourite.

Very nice! Your pictures of Iceland make me want to go!
Did you try one of this walkway with a person on it? I almost always like photos with people in them better. I'm picturing this scene with a ghostly, blurred walker.
-RobW- (67 months ago | reply)
I agree, people do make shots more interesting a lot of the time, but I'm not great at people yet, and I didn't want to ruin this shot after I'd spent so long planning it. Also, there were no people :o)
Photo-John (67 months ago | reply)
Sometimes the best model is the only one available - you! :-)
As for ruining it - it's better to take a bad photo and learn from it than not try at all. Did you not have a tripod?
-RobW- (67 months ago | reply)
I did have a tripod, but it was in England :oD

This is really lovely. Most of the photos that I have seen of the Blue Lagoon have been taken during the day so this series is a nice change.

I was going to say "10 points if you know where this was taken" but a couple of you already do, so...
Anyhow...
I love this shot. I've seen a lot of pics of the Blue Lagoon taken during the day, but none at night. Very cool.

I worked in the Blue Lagoon for over a year and a half and it took me a few moments to realize where in the lagoon this was taken, I´ve literally walked this path hundreds of times and yet in this picture I see it in an entirely different way.
