A dancer expresses a range of emotions at a demonstrative Kathakali
performance.
This is a costume drama enacted in Kerala which tells stories only by
the usage of hand and finger movements and facial expressions.
It is a tough art form to master and requres immense physical control and training for 9-10 years to achieve a modicum of decent performance.
The dancer is always a man. He chose to demonstrate a few expressions in his gaily costume at the beautifully located Taj Malabar hotel in Cochin, India
