Cardrona Bra Fence

Just before you get to Cardrona on the Crown Range Road there is a fence adorned with bras (and a bookcrossing book!)

I am not sure why there is a bra fence. Fences adorned with objects are common in NZ, there are many shoe fences around the place. They start when someone leaves a pair of shoes (or bra) hanging on a rural fence somewhere and before long there are hundreds of shoes(or bras) on the fence.

Must be a NZ sense of humor - I've never seen this anywhere else, but always enjoyed encountering the bra fence or the shoe fence. Just what is bookcrossing?

      Thanks everyone for your comments!
Bookcrossing is leaving books in public places for others to find, the book's travels are tracked online by a number usually found inside the front cover. More information can be found at www.bookcrossing.com

Love the idea of bookcrossing. Cool photo. In north eastern Oregon USA outside of Weston, they're on their third shoe tree. The first two caught fire. Quite a variety of shoes, boots, heels, slippers--fun stuff.
