Living Rough, East End Toronto

There used to be a larger camp here, but the area has become steadily less secluded over the years. A series of break-ins in the neighbouring parking lot probably brought this spot to the cops' attention. The parking lot also attracted more than its share of stolen cars. Sometimes a window was crudely smashed, and sometimes you wouldn't even notice until the car sat there for a few days and a fresh snowfall made the tell-tale open passenger window more obvious.
For many years, there was a tow-truck joint next door, but they are moving out (they were actively tearing the place apart when I was here taking pictures) and the area will almost certainly become a site on which to build condominiums.

Thanks! I tried repeatedly to join the discussion today, but I couldn't log in from either computer I used, even after registering from scratch and receiving a new confirmation. Maybe next time?
