Thanks again everyone... I was a bit worried about my view being obscured by the trees. In the end I think you're right - It sort of adds to the Australian feel of the photo.

hi Alysa - yes the photo is taken on New Years. Sydney normally has 2 sets of firework shows. One's at 9pm for the kiddies and the big one's at 12 just as the New Year starts. This photo's taken towards the end of the midnight fireworks show (which by the way is about 10-15 minutes)
