GrrlScientistArwenCongoAfricanGreyParrot

Arwen sits atop her (former) cage, looking aggressive. I moved the Galahs into this cage because it is huge, and Arwen and Galadriel were not using all the space in it. I moved Arwen and Galadriel (the two grey parrot sisters) into separate cages (mostly because Arwen plucks Galadriel's feathers, giving her unsightly bald patches. I am determined that Galadriel will regrow all her feathers.)

Arwen is a young adult (2010 hatch) captive-bred and hand-fed Congo African grey parrot, Psittacus erithacus. After living in a German pet shop for 3 years, she and her sister, Galadriel, came to live with me (they were my birdday gift this year, arriving home with me in early January 2013).
