We're renovating a room - the walls are painted black (a color we'd not ordinarily have chosen, but it works). We hung this light, a 100 year old vintage French light, and I took a photo of it without a flash.

Why yes, thanks

Why yes, thanks

Our lovely neighbor popped by last week asking if we knew of anyone who might want a pull-out sofa bed that had not only never been slept on, but the sofa had never been sat on? She was going to put it on Craigslist if we didn't want it.

It's now in our lounge.

One man's rubbish...

One man's rubbish...

I found these in a box dumped by the side of the road while I was out walking the dog. I thought they might be beautiful under the layers of dust, so carried all six of them home with me. They've been washed within an inch of their life, and they're the most amazing pale blue color, a color that almost sparkles on its own (no editing was done to this photo, to help illustrate their color).

I love them. I've no idea how old they are (if they even are old), but I think they'e a remarkable color and find. I think they'll be perfect for serving ice cream in.
