Monstrosity next door

Some ghastly oversized mansion is being constructed next door to Greystone. Not much progress has been made over the last two years.

According to CurbedLA, this land "the Knoll" was also owed at one time by the Doheny family. It has passed through multiple hands since then until it was sold for $46 million in 2005. The current owner has apparently spent the last 7 years doing a "complete overhaul", changing the "streamlined contemporary Georgian" Doheny house into "a white brick Regency residence." Dear god.
