I've been trying to wrap my head around shooting using hyper-focal distance. This shot is an eye opener. Usually I would just max out my f-stop and use the widest depth of field possible. this was shot at f-14 and I cannot believe the difference in sharpness and detail.
If anyone has any handy tips or tricks they want to share by all means send them my way!

Went for a walk with my girlfriend today, and decided to bring my camera along. The shot is nothing special, I was more or less just fooling around on some slippery rocks.

Kits Beach, Vancouver, BC.

I was scrambling to find a good spot on the beach as the sun was fading behind me. Ultimately missed the light on the peaks, but this was my first time using the new Lee filters that FINALLY arrived after 5 months of waiting. First impression: Like!
Not my favorite shot ever, but it'll do for a comp at a sprint.
