Our Daily Challenge: Brown

This is Leroy begging for mercy and freedom... LOL! No really, its Leroy but I called to him to look at me through the fence and he obliged but only for the moment. He saw the camera and turned his head and refused to look my way again. HA HA! He is such a comical dog that way... sometimes he will all but spin in circles for the camera and other times (most of the time really) he hates the very sight of it. He doesn't spend much time in the yard either really. Just a few minutes here and there. Mostly he is in the house laying in front of the woodstove. Its such a dog's life. :)

In order to give you some perspective, that is a huge tree stuck across the top of the falls.

The air here is thick with humidity and it fell upon us like rain in some places as we wandered along the path that led from the lower falls to these upper falls. The lichens and mosses were rich with many shades of green and grew in thick clumps that made us have to watch our steps carefully. It was our first visit to these particular falls and we sure weren't disappointed with what we saw. The roar of the water greeted us as soon as we stepped from the car and from that moment we were happy we made the decision to make the drive.

I took another image of this grass a few days ago but when I saw the topic for today, my mind went back to it, so I went out to see if I could find another like it.
