Renfrewshire Sunrise, well I actually missed the best of it by about half an hour and I was all set to go out early this morning.

The first time I have been to Elgol and it won't be the last. I have often seen shots of this but the day we went the light was pretty poor and it was mostly damp. Still thought it was a fantastically atmospheric place and well worth the trip down the long and winding road.

Blà Bheinn (or Blaven) in the distance on the windy road down to Elgol on Skye. What a journey and well worth the trip. Not an awful lot at elgol apart from a harbour and one of the most stunning views in the world. apart from that there is a nice wee community tea room. They were very welcome and reasonably priced. The lady there had lived all of her life in Elgol. As a tourist we would dream of living our lives somewhere remote and as beautiful but the reality may be somewhat different. Still imagine this kind of view as your daily commute to and from work.
