Yesterday I rose at 2.30am with the hope of getting to Moreton Island for a sunrise dune shoot with my new Lee Filters. Much of my inspiration has built up over the past six months from viewing Ali’s awesome photostream !!
The trip over was awesome and when that sun appeared over the horizon this place just came alive. So quiet and peaceful, I had this place to myself whilst looking over the city of Brisbane!!!
I got the shots I wanted, took in the serenity for a while then trekked back down the dunes to find the tide had come in and left my boat stranded some 150 metres away. Off came the shorts and chest deep in water with the camera bag on the head I made it back to the Titanic.
Most of Moreton Island has been declared a National Park, it’s easy to see why!
