Suggest a title, this is currently UN-NAMED!

Here's one for the lovers of Dick (quite fitting it being Valentines Day and all)....... I bring to you sunrise from the "SS DICKY" on Dicky Beach, Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, Qld, taken a week ago.

A 3am wake up call is a must if you live in Brisbane but well worth the early rise if you luck out with clouds like this!!!

What a wicked place Tasmania is to shoot! Had such a ball there, can't wait to get this one printed on metallic paper, have that feeling it'll just "pop" and looks spectacular!

#1 in Explore on the 1st of the 1st January 2012. I'm pretty stoked about that :)

It's been nearly six months since i've posted here on flickr, so I plan to be more active on here this year!

Here's my take on the first sunrise of 2012 taken at Pt Catrwright, Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

I stayed sober and make the trek up to the Sunshine Coast. It was great catching up with Kane Gledhill and to meet a few others!! What a great way to bring in the new year!

- f7.1 120sec @20mm ISO 100
- Canon 16-35 f/2.8 II L Lens
- Lee 0.9 & 0.6 GND stacked.
- Monfrotto Tripod and New 468MGRC2 Hydrostatic ball head

Meet Tenten, she's my newly adopted daughter from a rehabilitation centre in Borneo. She's a one year old orang-utan who lost her mother at an early age and is now facing 6+ years of rehabilitation to give her the best chance of making it in the wild by herself one day. For those of you who don't know, palm oil plantation and hence habitat destruction is the main reason these guys end up in these centres and the job they do I think is incredible!! I'd love to volunteer in one of the rehabilitation centres, they're SO adorable!

I'll continue to sponsor this little girl and get email updates every 3-6 months on her progress so i'm stoked! I specifically brought the 70-200 f2.8IS II to shoot these guys in Borneo and the picture quality I'm seeing on the 27in Mac is incredible!!

Time of late doesn't allow me the pleasure of lots of flickr time so if I havn't visited your stream I do apologise :)

Yep, I've been a hopeless flickr friend of late, i'll admit it. Life has been busy busy busy.........and to top it off me and the new 70-200f2.8LII are off to Malaysian Borneo to shoot the orang-utangs in a couple of days. The last time I went i wasn't armed with decent camera gear so i'm heading back to do it properly!

This shot has no blending and is a two second exposure @ around f11 . I got lucky capturing all these cascading waterfalls @ the same time!!!
