December 4, 2011: Former New York Mets shortstop,Jose Reyes (7) , who became a free agent folllowing the 2011 Season, has signed with the Mets' National League East rival Miami Marlins according to various reports. The Mets never made a serious offer to retain Reyes, one of the faces of the franchise and as well as one of the most popular Mets players in history.
