The Time is Now - Yalla!

The Time is Now - Yalla!

All across Tel-Aviv (and Jerusalem) I came across this paste work - a project called "Inside Out" by JR.

According to the footer on the poster this gentleman is Benjamin Z.

I loved this project, every face captivated me, every poster was different...

Susana and the Sunset

Susana and the Sunset

(Another Cliché - I should start a set!)

Tel-Aviv, January 2012
Susana, Victoria, Katarina and I went down to the beach on a cold to watch the sun set. We hadn't had much chance to check out the beach, as our stay had been full of grey skies and rain, but this last full day was cold, bright, crisp. We chased the golden hour through the Camel Market to run across the road and catch the sun melting into the Medditeranean.

At the Vista near the David Intercontinental, we looked south to Jaffa, and I caught Susana, hugging herself against the cold, looking out to sea. There were other shots from this 25 minutes before it grew dark, but this is one of my favourites.

A little processing later, and I'm pretty happy with this Cliché. Susana was the perfect model.

This sunset was a 'holiday making' moment. They might be trite, but for me this sunset bought my holiday to a satisfying, golden-red end, that will forever stay with me.

41. Oh Happy Day

41. Oh Happy Day

The postcard on top of my mirror is of a small child pulling at their own feet, in a perambulator, vintage style. The postcard is called "Oh Happy Day".

I thought that I'd broken my SC-28a (SC17) which was my only way of making my SB-400 'strobist'. Anyhoo, it seems to be working, so maybe there isn't a problem. Or maybe I should just upgrade. I don't know. *sigh*

As for this week's photo? This is me posting ANYTHING that I'm in. Including stuff that is RUBBISH. I've rather given up on myself lately. I blame having had SO much to do that all I want to do now is STOP.

This '52 weeks' is almost 18 months old. I've got to pull my finger out if I'm going to finish this before I actually get to 104weeks. I don't have much hope, but I can try...
