I'm sick. Its foggy outside. I forgot how much I love black and white.
I'm actually growing more fond of this the more I look at it.

It seems like every time I get some kind of inspiration or idea for a photo lately, I actually go out and try to take it, but I can never execute it the way I have it in my head. I can't get the focus how I want it, or the lighting right, or position the framing to how I think it should be. It's so frustrating because I want to take photos and I want them to look good but I just can't do it. Why am I having so much trouble with this lately?
Also, I've become mainly nocturnal except for the 3 or 4 hours or so I spend at work during the daytime. And I go out drinking more nights of the week than not. And I turned 19. And I got a new tattoo. And Shannon came to see me for two weeks.
Yeah.

Meh.
Today was my day off. I accomplished nothing that I told myself I was going to.

This did not come out at all like I had hoped.

Something kind of out-of-the-ordinary for me. Not exactly what I was going for, but fairly close.
I have really been wanting to start taking photos on a regular basis again lately, not just whenever I go do something cool like travel or whatever, but I never have any inspiration or time to do anything. Especially because I sleep all day until I have to go to work, and then by the time I get off, it's already night, and there's only so much you can do at night. Golden hour here is usually gorgeous (provided it's not raining), but I see it from behind a counter and through a window almost every evening, which sucks. I'm going to try to start getting up earlier and shooting something at least every few days. There's also not really any good locations here that I can get to since I don't have a car, but I'm still going to try.

I shot this using my new Diana lens that I got for Christmas (yes, the one off Photojojo). I can't wait to test it out during some nice sunlight or golden hour light.

I've never lived anywhere that it actually snows during the winter before, so this was really exciting for me. I went outside for a cigarette at about 2 in the morning and it was snowing! I didn't think it would stick or build up at all, but by the time I woke up there was a good 4 inches on the ground and on absolutely everything. Most of it melted today, and it's not supposed to snow again before Sunday, so it's looking like no white Christmas, but that's okay.
In other news, I've been working ALL THE TIME lately. I have my first day off in 9 days tomorrow, and I am going to use it to finish my Christmas shopping. Also, Ken came home from Afghanistan last week. It's really nice having him home :)
