      intense!

too bad there was no forum for protest when the white man was colonizing North America, slaughtering natives and converting them to Christianity. I know times have changed, but there is a degree of hypocrisy in shouting at China before admitting to our own shameful history.

sean, it's true there's hypocrisy but do we just walk away from every issue without a word? the whole of human history is red with blood. as we become more conscious of it, we have to help turn that around.

David, I do agree completely with you. I just feel that somehow the Olympics is not the right target for the protest. Certainly, resorting to using violence against innocent particpants is not appropriate. One of the great things about the Olympics is that it is non-political and brings together people from all over the world.

Also, I think that the changes we are trying to force on China can only come from within that country. Think back to the beginnings of labour unions in the industrial age. Protesters were killed and arrested similarly to the way they are now in China. But those protests for labour rights continued until they attained their goal. But the point being is that it was the citizens of the countries in question that brought about change. Please dont think I am being negative - just trying to be a realist. Change happens slowly over time...

This is a great image. My cousin and I did a podcast on Mayor Newsom and his little trickery in moving the route and would like to use this as ID3 art. Its non-commercial but we’ll linkback here or where ever if we can use this picture. www.backofthebuspodcast.com

It's shame that Chinese people had attacked Tibet supporters, Jounalist & Police during the torch relay in South Korea and we experienced bleeding event. Tibets were beaten, Foreigners who support Tibet and Korean people who hold "Free Tibet" picket were also beaten by Chinese roiters- Newspapers are keeping silence what happend in Korea.
Another Tibet (small poweless country-South Korea) is sobbing......by Chinese volience.
