Heavy-Handed Allegory Ring

Heavy-Handed Allegory Ring by 2Roses Jewelry.
Colleen Baran sent some things for us to play with as part of the Artist to Artist Creative Element Swap. We took one of the plastic plants and made this. We wanted to make a narrative allegory that was so heavy-handed and obtuse that it would become top heavy with symbolism and layered meaning, real or imagined.

Sterling silver, plastic, resin, Mexican fire opal.

Robert, there is a tacky rubber-like putty sold in grocery stores. It is marketed as non-marring way to tack up notes to walls. It is also an extremely useful photographic tool. Small amounts of it can be used to prop pieces up, and it can be molded so as to efficiently hide it.
