Thoughts are free like birds wake up and sing

I'd originally ventured out just to get a closer shot of the tree in the centre in the dense fog that appeared that day. When I arrived all I could hear was loud squawking, nearby but the source kept from vision by the thick mist. I headed closer and disturbed the large mass of birds resting in the same field. They circled, nervously keeping a distance from me while I snapped a few shots.

Hasselblad with 50mm...shocking light falloff again :s

Let the stars shine on

I thought this shot was a goner so I'm glad I got something half decent. I had the shot in mind, set up for maybe an hour and a half exposure, messed about with strobes with Iain and Calum while the shot was taking, went back and there was condensation all over the lens. Nooo! Miraculously it doesn't seem to have affected what actually ended up on the negative.

The pier is a little soft but that's either down to the condensation or the fact that I forgot my tripod plate and had to rubber band my 500c/m onto the tripod head and it maybe moved slightly (yes I know I'm stupid).

The white streak right across the frame a third up is a passing container ship. I was cursing it when I noticed it had strayed into my shot but I actually like how it breaks up the sea and the sky.

Also...the 50mm suffers from disappointingly bad light falloff wide open :(

Hasselblad 500c/m, Distagon 50mm at F/4 for 1.5 hours on Tri-X 400

Winter Wonderland Wheel

Pinhole shot of the big wheel at the Winter Wonderland, Cardiff. Taken with the 'Hasselhole'...foam core box to fit A12 backs.

Also...I just purchased a Zero Image 2000, very excited to start using it :) I'd imagine it's a little less awkward to use than this black foam core box held on with elastic bands that I've currently got.

About a 10 minute exposure on Ektar 100
