Worms Eat My Garbage

Sometimes fruit flies hang out in there, but then we just stop feeding the worms til they've chomped all visible remains. Just keep an eye on them.. when they need food, feed them. If they don't need food or it starts to stink, stop feeding.
About once a year we take the bins in the backyard and wash them out with the hose (except for the one with the worms in it).. The bottom tends to get a bit of sludge in it, probably because we don't drain it often enough.
