      I can't believe I'm the first one to have discovered this beautiful image of a rarely photographed bird! Probably more people are going to find it if you tag it with the scientific name: Xenicus gilviventris.

      Thanks for the comments. This is one of my most popular pictures and I had not appreciated at the time that it is so scarce. Considering it was taken hand held with a 300mm f2.8 lens in very poor light it came out quite well. Andrew
