The Kerouac Connection 1984-2000
The Kerouac Connection was a UK-launched magazine devoted to Jack Kerouac and his Beat colleagues, founded in January 1984 by Dave Moore and Alan Griffey. Dave edited issues #1 - #19, from Bristol, England, and then, wanting to devote more time to other Kerouac-related projects, handed the magazine over to his friend James Morton of Glasgow, Scotland, who continued with issues #20 - #25. At the end of 1993 James passed the editorship to Mitchell Smith, of Escondido, California, USA, who ran the magazine for another five issues, from #26 - #30, before closing it down in the autumn of 2000.
