Sugar tiara/crown cake topper - step by step

This is a short description of how I make my tiara wedding topper. It was inspired by a royal icing tiara I saw once on Cake Central, but as my piping tecniques are yet to work on I attempted to make it with gum paste, and it seemed to work.

 

I wrap a glass in plastic wrap to make it easier to manage and make it more stable. I tried both using a sugar gun and rolling the paste by hands, both worked perfect :-) Først time I was making it it took me 4 hours, now I can manage within 60 minutes :-)
