Lesser-Known Polygons no. 13

I don't really know what was going through my head when I made this. It was mostly an experiment to try different registration techniques. Of course I chose red and black. I just love red and black. And this free font I discovered called Nevis Bold. Its my new favorite (even if it doesn't have a pi symbol).

So the premise here is that no one knows the names of polygons that have more than 8 sides (or heptagon, the one with 7 sides). Not that this is a crime or anything, I mean, how often do you need to know the name of a 13-sided polygon? But I think there's something beautiful and pure in geometry that we often miss, even if I can't stand the math involved quite frankly. I thought there might be something worth pursuing in it. And thus, the lesser-known polygon series was born.

It was just a lot of fun printing these. I love shapes and angles and blocks of color... intersecting lines and the sense of completeness in a circle... confusing equations and small type that fits neatly in a corner. I couldn't resist.
