I made my own slipring using 15mm copper pipe through a 22mm piece of nylon rod and an old brush and holder from a 1hp motor.

Blade hub
The blade hub is made from 12mm marine plywood with 6mm aluminium blade striengtheners.

yaw bearing
I used an old scooter headstock for the yaw bearing, seems to work well and i have the ability to change the bearings when they ware out.

Blades are made from 6 inch waste pipe and are 3 ft long.

Generator
Generator is a front hub motor from an electric bike, it is a 36v brushed motor with built in gearbox.

Turbine mounted at approx 16ft, the tail is a piece of 4mm fiberglass sheet.

I use one slipring for the positive connection and the negative comes through the frame and pole.
