Ben Lomond

Bit of fresh snow on the hills last week...

Big stopper.... I hate it !

ADDED LATER

Thanks for all the comments advice and emails about how to fix / process the blue cast from the filter !

To clarify matters I am happy with the shot as it is given that it was taken at three in the afternoon.

What I'm not happy about is buying a very expensive filter that was advertised as having no colour cast when it obviously does have one that takes loads of work to sort out.

Thanks all !

SERIOUSLY !

I DO NOT WANT ANY MORE ADVICE ON HOW TO PROCESS MY PICTURES !

I JUST DON'T LIKE THE BIG STOPPER BECAUSE IT HAS A BLUE CAST, OK !

Very dramatic shot. Love the direction of the clouds and that tree.

As for the snow, we should be getting some before long. Not looking forward to it.

    Dramatic shot!
Brings an old Runrig song to my mind:
"'Twas there that we parted in yon shady glen
On the steep steep sides of Ben Lomond "

Hi Angus, you always amaze me with your images.

Maybe you already know all about it, but about the Big stopper, someone recommended to set you colour temperature in the camera to 9000K. I do that with mine and I never get the famous blue cast. makes post processing less of a pain.

I can't wait for my trip to Scotland next year. I used to live in Edinburgh for a few years and did lots of Munros with some Scottish friends. Shame I wasn't so much into photography at the time. Your images of the Scottish landscape make me want to come back so badly...altohough I don't miss that much the weather over there ;)
