Vineyard Artist Draws on her Business Savvy
San Francisco based artist Ann Rea is reviving the tradition of the French Impressionists, with a contemporary point of view. Winemakers take her on a tour of their vineyards where she plants her easel. Ann then paints the colors of the vineyards as they change with the seasons, creating truly authentic and timeless pieces that reflect the unique beauty of the vineyards.
Collectors select from the very best of her field studies, painted in over a dozen wine regions, and commission Rea to explore her naturally inspired colors on larger canvases. Ann’s paintings, and her moving personal story, have been featured on “Fine Living”, and in “The Wine Enthusiast” and in “Fortune” magazines. The collectible status of her work is quickly increasing. “Ann Rea has a deep capacity for serious and sustained work. She is keen to share this talent.” Wayne Thiebaud (American Art Icon) Her book “Colors of Terroir” will be published next year.
