Ice Growing on Flatbed Creek
Previous descriptions explain this little project. This one was maybe the most fun... walking on thin ice and hearing it crack beneath your feet.

Flatbed Creek Early Winter
My pet project at the start of this winter. I wanted to get different stages of the creek freezing up, before it became snow covered. Each day brings a very different look, depending on the light and temperature. This was lots of fun but also hard work and resulted in very cold fingers and toes!

Frozen Flatbed Creek
I took a photo here last year before snow fell and stayed. I like the look of the ice with some water still flowing. This morning it was minus 12 and I walked along the creek and stepped gingerly out onto the ice. I took quite a few photos until my fingers and toes were too cold to continue. I think this is the best one. You can see where the ice is more solid and where water is still flowing. I wonder in a few days if I could skate from here down to Flatbed Falls.

Murray River Rocks
This is immediately upstream of the 60 meter Kinuseo Falls. I love it in the fall when the Murray River flow is lower and you can scramble out onto the rocks. The deeper part of the river channel is in the background. The rocks in the foreground are under water in the early summer but in the fall you can go out on the rocks - if you dare. The falls are in the background on the right. One false step from here and you could get swept over the falls. Just kidding, its safe here but I wouldnt venture out too far towards the falls.

Mt Bergeron Autumn 2
Just outside of the town of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. Bergeron Cliffs can be seen in the background.
