An amazing story where WPXI goes in to a guys house where he describes an incident where a man breaks into his apartment.

He had some stuff missing, but the culprit gets in to bed with him. The victim displays the baseball bat that he used to thwart the intruder.

It seems that police caught the intruder and he claimed that he was looking for a warm place to stay.

The real hook here is that the victim took a camera crew on a tour of his apartment and it was a serious pig sty. Another example of the news using images of amusing sights to make people think " what a slob" or " look at the disgusting way people live" and all along this guy is happy to show his plight.

Come on people, have just a little dignity, You DO NOT have to submit to showing what a slob you are just because a TV station asks you for an interview.

And also TURN YOUR HAT AROUND.

OK it has been a while since I showcased a real TV news moron, This guy, Dru, was a witness to a crime that he felt put him in jeopardy. He gave is full name to WPXI that published it. I at least hat the sense to blur iti out.

Dru witnessed a person steal a Robinson Township police car, which is amusing in itself. Dru admitted on camera that he was a bit scared enough that he was going to buy a gun.

OK, this moron goes on TV says he is scared he is a witness and WPXI puts his full name on TV.

My God how many idiots are there.

Buster was busted big time. WTAE's graphics people put together a lsit of serious offences by a local dog. We did not get to see the Buster as he is now dead. That what happens when you go to far and attack a gidos I guess.

This is somewhat similar to the Tasered Emu story featured here several months ago. The Emu never attacked anyone, he was tasered for walking on an interstate.

RIP Buster. I guess the owners did not understand dog ownership, training, and responsibility. Poor Buster

Richard Poplawski's mom called WPXI and requested an interview to discuss the plight of her son. Naturally television took it hook, line and sinker.

Bottom line - Sometimes people do horible things that leave the rest of their lives in complete ruin. Richard crossed that line. Richard called a newspaper to complain, and now his mom chimes in. The media is so easily manipulated as we see here. And to what end?

Do you think that the family, friends and co workers of the officers really need to have this flaunted in their faces? Well no, they do not need this or really care about his plight,

This community is better off not hearing from or about Richard until his trial and eventualy is sentenced,

The media again is used and a part of the transformation process of a criminal into a victim. It's all a part of the defense plan. Set in the minds of the jury pool that this was a flawed individual that was a victim of many systems. Richard is not a victim, never forget that.

Perhaps she should have just cleaned up Richard'ds dogs mess instead of calling the police that awful day.

I wonder if any of the other local stations turned down this interview. Please remember people Richard is not a victim. It was inevitable that this sort of media manipulation would take place. It is very sad that people that cared for the officers have to see this as they eat their dinners or want to relax after another day. Richard needs to just go away and become a distant memory
