Female Ruby Throated Hummingbird on my deck

this is my view in the early morning and late afternoon. I have a pair of these who come in an out all day, for the trumpet vines I grow up the side of the house for them. Fearless little things!

Walking and Squawking

This baby Barred Owl, one day out of the nest, found himself on the ground, and mama wasn't helping. As I came around a bend in the trail, He started running/hopping towards me, screaming all the way.
