Ice cable adjuster Avid cable boot The Adventure drum brake cable faces upwards at the end; quite a big hole too. Fine if you only go out in the dry, but I ride to work. Sun, hail or gale. This seal is a quite tight stretch on the adjuster. I thought it might work its way off but not so far. Wet cable + sub-zero riding = stiff or jammed controls. Not confined to my trike I must add, but any cycle with open ended cables. I wanted to try a more elegant solution than my usual gurt glob of grease.
