I wanted to do something different. I don't care if half my contacts are this person, but I hate it when I see young ladies with massively expensive cameras ~ cough, D7000 70-200 2.8 cough~ taking tourist photos, the same shots that everyone else has done 100 times.

But as I bitch, I have to thank them. I was going to do that boring shot everyone else does just under the bridge until they reminded me why that would suck. I tried to get a little deeper, climb a little higher and think a little harder and hopefully you see only 17 repeats of these 2 pics on the internet. The truth is it's getting harder to do something that hasn't been done without resources. I was spoiled for years by being invited to every interesting thing that happened in La Grande with the sole purpose of taking photos. Here I find myself trying to get somewhere to find stores and factories and houses that I am not allowed in standing in my way. Which makes me say that the number one key to un-boring pictures is access.
