Advertisements are the Truth! --
"the ads you see and hear are truthful, fair and accurate" --
and there are no "No Ifs, Ands or Buts" about it!
(Or is truth just "an essential part" of advertising? -- as other text on there suggests.
But if truth is only "part of" ads, those ads wouldn't just consist of the "Truth," so the messages on the signs would be untrue.)
Obviously this ad is very misleading -- and downright ridiculous!
The people behind these ads even declare that "the more you know about advertising, the more you get out of it"
Believe it or not, this advertisement was printed in the latest issue of Reader's Digest, in Canada. (It was in the Canadian version of Reader's Digest, that is.)
(The image here was copied with a scanner -- but not a great scanner. I also tried to photograph the advertisement: www.flickr.com/photos/tobanblack/3174329429/in/photostream/)
