    — Thanks! Despite my OCD about lining up pictures, this was done without the aid of a ruler or level ... and I think I prefer the salon style treatment. :-)

Speaking of OCD, everything looks a bit crowded to me. The thermostat is part of that composition, and a bit crowded by the red lamp. Move the lamp to the left, move the lowest print to the left and up. Move the "C" up a bit. Align the top edge of the two framed prints to the right of the "C" with the top edge of the "T"

    — Heh, I knew this would bug someone. Thanks for the advice, but I'm OK with it. ;-)

Love to see more pics of this black Caslon to show his brother.

    — Hee. Love that clock! :-)

I've taken a few, and keep getting bad glare, all the closeups look wonky. Might move it to a place with more natural light. Would really be happy to just get a shot in focus, at this point.

  17. studiosmith (37 months ago | reply)

So is it the exact same then, just in black?

  18. Christina @ PMV (37 months ago | reply)

    — Yup! :-)

The only thing I'd want to change about this clock is the sides; for some reason, they used plastic side panels, but the rest of the body is metal. Seems odd ... Looks like later models got an upgraded case.

This red Kulla lamp must be soooo happy there! With this " C " keeping her company and these enamel dishes shipped from Germany! Where from if I may ask? I' ve been currently living here. By the way my OCD is probably more serious than yours, I must sadly admit. i love your composition! : )

  23. Christina @ PMV (35 months ago | reply)

    — Heh. I probably shouldn't joke about OCD, as it runs in my family and I should know better! I've been trying to ease off the symmetry in my home decor choices lately, and while it's not as easy to execute, I'm enjoying the results.

I do love the lamp, but I'm afraid I got what I paid for! It doesn't switch off anymore unless I unplug it (it's a three-way dimmer switch that doesn't cycle through). I'm apparently not quite handy enough to fix it. Oh, and I wish I had a good shopping tip for you, but the plates were purchased @ www.ebay.de ... ;-)

Don' t all disorders almost always run in families? ; )

You are doing a great job, you have a good eye and talent for putting things together. Sorry to hear for the lamp, I have a ceiling edition of it - a short one -in white, but has no problems since it has no dimmer....so it does it' s job since a year and a half.

    ...keep enjoying : )
