Quiet Contemplations

    Newer Older

The past year of my life has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. So many ups and downs, so many emotions. My photography has been somewhat of a therepy allowing me to go to places like the Nolan House, Mt. Zion, and Youngs Chapel. Places where I can gather my thoughts, figure out what I'm feeling. For me, these places offer a bit of peace, almost a refuge of sorts.

I love your note; yes these places can be so very therapeutic. Thoughtful images of the people who had lived there and the peaceful quiet of the abandonment... ahhhh, so nice! :) I could go on and on!

Magnificent image Scott. I really like your crop, the two door-frames make great borders.

I totally agree with you bro. I've been on quite a ride myself for the last few years and if it weren't for my faith and finding photography I may have wound up in some of the asylums I've photographed. Hang on brotha, Your photo work is GREAT and your life does have meaning. We all make an impact on other peoples lives without sometimes even knowing it and photography is a powerful medium for that as well. ;)

Something out of the time zone for "me" :-). Great flash along the side. Excellent presentation with the vintage tone. Compliments Scott,

I'm sorry for the downs and congratulate you for the ups. Life can be such a turbulent ride. But all the highs and lows are being poured into your photography and it's really reaping the rewards. This is a wonderful shot that gives a lot to think about.
