Taken with my Droid 3 and edited with Photoshop's mobile app. Got the saturation too high, it's difficult to tell on the Droid. Fun, anyway.

A young Cooper's Hawk I found perched on the fence. Originally took some photos of it on my roof, then it flew up under the plum tree and perched on the fence.

Thanks to my friend, Austin, for the identification. I had at first thought it was a Red Tailed Hawk. An increase in White Wing Doves and some wrens around here may be it's reason for hanging around so much. They are protected, and seem to be making a comeback. I certainly hope they do. My barn cat, Ziggy, was in hot persuit, but I'm not so certain he would get the best of this bird.

I wish I'd had time to get a good zoom on my 5D, but the handy little G10 on full auto did fine.

A hawk, I believe it's a Red Tail Hawk, is perched on my roof a few weeks ago. It's an immature hawk and has grown since. I was in a hurry to capture this photo as the bird seemed nervous about my presence and I thought it would take flight soon.

I was working in the garden and it noticed it behind me, so I ran inside and grabbed my Canon G10 in full auto and snapped off a couple shots using the digital zoom. Lost some detail, but really wanted the shot. They are amazing birds!

Dozens of birds vie for the seeds in one of the feeders in my gardens. A major struggle for a perch resulted from this attempt to land.
