SOLID wood walls made from 2"x4" scrap lumber
Solid wood panel wall construction in 1950's vintage houses in Reno, Nevada. Every wall of all three of our houses, inside and out, was built with these panels.
These were built from scrap 2x4 lumber, glued up and milled on both sides, leaving them flat at about 3-1/4" thick.
Then, grooves were milled all around, so that the wall sections could be retained by T-channel wooden anchors top and bottom. Wooden splines joined each panel vertically for a continuous solid wooden wall.
We've been able to learn NOTHING about this system. Any information would be most welcome!
