wah-hoh! so in australia kangaroos just like... hang out on golf courses? where i live it's only geese that do that.

    4. Leonrw (39 months ago | reply)

it's not like typical. I don't just walk down my street and see ten of them. But in anglesea this golf course is famous for having kangaroos and we do currently have a slight over population of them. So yes, is some places they do hang out on golf courses, but being a city person I'm not used to it.

Contrary to popular belief, in Australia we do not ride around in their pouches, nor keep them as pets.

      OMFG!!!!
haha, ride around in their pouches XD

      this has amazing colors.

I really like the rustic colours, and the kangaroos cascading throughout the course.. and of course the capture is great :)

      Oh cool!
Haha, ride around in their pouches XD

Aren't kangaroos a bit agressive? I would think twice before going to pick my ball from near one of them.

Absolutely awsome image. I love the Australiana, the tones, and just the really great job you did.

Do they really have a sign saying no access for kangaroo viewing? If so, isn't life funny?

    14. Leonrw (39 months ago | reply)

i'd think so. but perhaps these ones are used to humans. I saw one guy teeing off within meters of about 10 of them. (pity i didn't get a good shot).

i think the weirdest thing is what us humans can get used to, and even bored of. the guy mentioned above didn't really bat an eyelid at the 50 or so kangaroos! Here we were, damn city people, crowding round the fence with our cameras!

I do love golf courses in Australia. When my kids came to visit me when I was doing some consulting down under, they wanted to see a kangaroo on the first day there. You can almost always find them on the golf courses. Great picture.

Absolutley amazing! What a great scene.
I first thought you cloned the kangaroos with photoshop and then I realized that they are real.

I'm listening to Isao Tomita's arrangement of Debussy's Arabesque No.1 as I wander through your photostream. Its a perfect combination; it draws me to the image, making me wish I could pass into it and experience the moment wholly. Still, doing so vicariously is no small thing. Its an enviable record of an enviable moment. A tip of the hat to you for having posted such beautiful photographs!

thanks everyone for all the comments and favourites! This is a completely real scene, it's simply the HDR which makes it look slightly unrealistic.
