I decided to go back into my archives and and re-visit a few shots. Taken during a fall trip back in 2009 this image was just one of my favorite photos from Utah.

Life Saving Training

Life Saving Training

Ice Rescue Training
Wheat Ridge Fire Department
Wheat Ridge, Colorado

Crews have been rotating through Ice Rescue Training this year. I spend the morning out with them to capture some of this year's training. It is always potentially dangerous to be out on the ice especially when the temperatures begin to rise. These firefighters train for when a person or animal should fall through the ice. Keep off of the ice and don't go out to rescue a pet. You could find yourself in the same situation of needing to be rescued from the frigid water. Please be safe!

Wild Animal Sanctuary
Keenesburg, Colorado

Vicki and I decided to once again visit the Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg, Colorado on Saturday. It had been a while since we had visited and we wanted to go and see some more of the habitat additions and improvements that the folks there have been doing. A new overhead walkway is under construction to allow visitors better access to the animal habitats. Some of the walkway is now open and the entire structure should be complete in the coming months. I always love visiting this place and being able to see the animals who have been rescued enjoying life in the wide open and large habitats. They take rescued animals from all over the globe and provide them with quality care and a much better quality of life.
