I shot this with my 28-105mm Nikor lens. I waited until the south/east light was on them so I could get as good an image as possible from that far away! What a thrill to see and hear them circling above my property! I live directly under the migratory bird fly-way and see this fabulous sight every spring and fall. I'm hoping to get a telephoto lens by this fall so I can get a clearer/closer/sharper image!

What a thrill to see and hear them circling above my property! Had to Photoshop the heck out of this photo to get it half-way in focus! I sure hope they don't look more like a flock of buzzards than they do Cranes! Yikes!! I'm going to have to invest in a good telephoto!
